How to paint a starry sky - in oil paint

Hi everyone!! well I hope I can encourage you to pick up your paintbrushes, either for the first time or try something new! I LOVE painting skies and recently played around with the milky way, stars and the Northern lights. All you need is a few tips, my tutorial is a very quick example but please take your time, try other colours and have fun! 

I have painted this with oil paint, any make is good I use a range of different oil paints. You can also try this with acrylic just remember they dry so much quicker so you need to be fast or add more water.
